1 ADHD insomnia, manic, irritable, delusional, completely changed my personality. I became informed they have ADHD while attending school and was first placed on this medicine. It gave the impression to work effectively in the beginning. After Half a year of taking it the inside effects changed completely buy desyrel online without a prescription. I really could not sleep or eat and went to a manic state. I was placed in a medical facility and under psychiatric evaluation for over a week. I Tend not to recommend this to anyone. I went from being perfectly normal to some psychiatric ward on suicide watch. Please be very cautious if you choose to take this medicine make certain you happen to be closely monitored. I would have been happy with the effects were it not for your horrible unwanted side effects. As far much like me concerned, being constipated all night . reflux that induces vomiting is just not OK. 5 Severe ADHD I've got one nervous tic now, I've not had a nervous tic since puberty. We are so incredibly pleased with strattera because the things i call the tv (my head working so quickly it is like someone changing a channel every second i. e. another thought) has slowed down to a normal rate, my sister was impressed she said "wow this can be the very first time that i've had a conversation together with you which you weren't gunning to convey something or answer an issue. my only complication is often a tic which i've not had one since puberty it is sniffing quickly kinda such as a dog once every six to twelve hours it varies though not stress induced or anything i will imagine but ya really know what i'd rather handle a lil sniffing than wanting to deal with the entire world while i am managing a thousand miles an hour. 3 ADD Sexual disfunction, difficulty sleeping, decrease of appetite, possibly nausea however i am taking Venlafaxine (generic kind of effexor for depression) that makes me nauseous. I work an 8-5, M-F and that i exercise each day and from 9pm as i hit the sheets, I toss and turn until well after midnight. What sleep I actually do get isn't quality sleep. I take Venlafaxine, which like I said, is really a generic way of Effexor familiar with treat depression. Both Strattera and Venlafaxine are SSRI's, and have similar uncomfortable side effects. I am planning on titrating off of Venlafaxine (the withdrawal symptoms are horrendous! ) for Strattera since they will be both able to treat mild depression. Perhaps eliminating one might alleviate the side effects We are experiencing. If the difficulty sleeping continue, My business is more likely to drop Straterra because the benefits are mild in comparison to the very apparent unwanted effects My business is experiencing. I personally don't like this drug. I began taking it and immediately felt terrible unwanted side effects, it helped my concentration but I feel less motivated to perform things, my period also started getting really heavy or painful on straterra, whenever I stood up my eyes blacked out and I couldn't see anything we experienced a really bad headache i felt like I'd been about to faint, around an hour after utilizing the medicine I might employ a random flushing sensation where I might get really warm and sweaty and get chills. I noticed a lowering of athletic ability, and sudden paranoia about things. I definitely wouldn't normally recommend this drug. 3 Possible Adult ADD 1st day-Slept for hours on end, very drowsy, dry mouth. 2nd day-could not sleep that night, heart was racing and lots of thinking taking place because i was seeking to sleep. 1 adhd My daughter took this for Three months. She had taken concerta. I need to to determine if we will employ a drug that lasted longer. Strattera have not and also concerta for adhd but did go longer. First month was pretty good. Second month she became very moody. 1 ADHD *Am also Bipolar Note: am also bipolar. Strattera started frequent suicidal ideation, paranoia, emotional hypersensitivity, rapid cycling of moods then ultra-rapid cycling, poor self-esteem, sleep disruption, negativity, increased hunger, arguments, mixed bipolar symptoms, indecision, mild visual hallucinations (1st time ever). Was continuing my bipolar meds: sertraline/Zoloft (SSRI) and Neurontin/gabapentin (mood stabilizer that actually works in my opinion). Aimed to curb ultra-rapid cycling by increasing mood stabilizer - no improvement. Suicidal ideation/impulse and rapidity of mood cycling is constantly on the increase. I'm coming off this NOW before I end up inpatient for the 1st time ever! Will endeavour nutritional and shamanic alternatives. F 50 3 months

Third day, extreme paranoid thoughts, violent behavior, thoughts of suicide. My doctor says this med couldn't have caused uncomfortable side effects that quickly but, Irrrve never been so psychotic inside my life! Ended up cutting on myself, wanting to commit suicide, needing to destroy things, and calling law enforcement on my own family due to extreme paranoid thinking. I finished taking after these frightening unwanted side effects. 1 Trouble Concentrating/ ADHD WARNING To all or any PARENTS: Inability to Tell Reality from dreams! My son started taking Strattera from a switch from Adderal(due to aggression. ) To start with things were going ok, better reports on the school, hardly any unwanted effects, and easily mild headaches which were easily dismissed with Tylenol. You have to started noticeing him forgetting things. Then asking us if something really happened or if he dreamed it. Then one day he went along to my parents house (they continue to exist the identical property)then came home two minutes later. Industry experts if "paw paw" was not home anf the husband said he couldn't rememeber. I said well did you see him, he was quoted saying I'm not sure, I said ok do you see him or you cannot once you drove some wheeler in that area. He explained I don't remember if I drove on the bottom or otherwise! He had been Landing on THE FOUR WHEELER! This became my last straw after a lot of similar episodes. 4 ADD nausea, upset stomach, loss in appetite, fat loss as a result of lacking an appetite Strattera has helped me but I am getting sick and tired of one side effects. I aim eating before I take my med, but even that will not appear to help. If anyone has any suggestions, don't hesitate to comment back. I am certain it will likely be helpful. M 16 9 years

4 ADD To start with there's alot of nausea but following 2nd week id dies down but never realy left. Seem to have sleeping porblems and not major, identical to ritalin. Also seem to be very sleepy across the afternoon often. lately been nausea and abnormaly bad stmoache aches but not confident that it might be mounting pressure and stress so not blaming the drug. in first 1 possibly even peeing did sting somewhat. appitite is okay as compared to what ritalin did but sometime occiasionaly dont eat lunch. coffe seems to upset my stomach only drink it merely after i go on it. started of with 40mg for 72 hours then 60mg for 4 then jumped to 100 for a week after which returned into 80mg for a week a corner nearly 100mg. what usually benefit nausea is ginger lemon tea or eating some fruit before and after taking the dosage. just a suggestion for beginners to stick it out first A couple weeks are definitely the worst, after than you will see the rewards and side affects will die down. Also unlike ritalin this doesnt supress my personality as often or cause depression, i have found it's much easier to socialize and speak to my girlfriends. also my confidence has boosted and i feel far more relaxed. 3 Adult ADD & OCD Only been using it 6 days. Immediate, noticeable symptoms include: dry/cotton mouth, feeling drunk, severe fatigue during day regardless of how much rest I am, getting up at 3-4AM every single night taking 1-2 hours to force myself to sleep (i am a very deep sleeper rather than are actually seen to get into gear in the middle of the night), significant loss in appetite (i literally don't have any hunger and forget to eat). No significant alteration of mood or concentration. I'm just as spacey as prior to the meds. :\ Luckily, my husband and mom notice my deficiency of appetite, and so i get good, healthy food choices inside me. I must take a 1-2 hour nap after work, force myself to awaken trying to are able to bed a little early since I wake (completely alert) around 4 every evening. My thoughts is racing and I feel like i'd rather chance a mile then sleep. Takes me a good 1-2 hours of just laying during sex to make myself back to sleep. My Dr. warned me of some side affects and is particularly determined to watch me closely - I prefer to give it an opportunity as this is the the only real drug in my system and i also feel it can be controlled and fine tuned with good observation and finding the right period to adopt it. I just read that sometimes one side affects pass after the 1st week of stacking the drug to your system. I'll provide an entire 2 months before determining to log off from it or otherwise. Unless, along side it affects are worse then what it's treating. F 31 6 days

2 adhd xerostomia, irritibility, increased dreams, some sleep disorders, light-headed drug did improve focus, but overall feeling on medication had not been great. looking at other testimonials I do believe lower dose saved me from rather more serious side-effects. 1 ADD Sweating, nausea, vomiting I have been previously on ritalin and a low dose of zoloft for decades and hoped that Strattera can be a different that wouldn't possess the highs and lows that ritalin sometimes provides me with. This is TERRIBLE. The first day I went ahead I began sweating profusely, got very nauseous lastly threw up. I continued to feel sick for some of the day, sweating and chills, like the flu. This is day two and just like horrible. I can't suppose I am able to handle these unwanted side effects much longer and can contact my doctor this evening. This will be the brand new I've had this type of immediate adverse response to a medicine. Wow. F 30 2 days

1 ADD My daughter had stomach aches and excessive sleepiness but she was focusing more in education. the very last 8 weeks she slowly morphed right into a totally different person. She started being snotty to those and getting melt downs over every litte thing. On the very end she was jsut an awful person to get along with rude and critical of everyone and thing. I asked her why she was being so mean and she said she did not know why her brain was only telling her being mean. She never took one more after that. It's been almost on a monthly basis and he or she remains rude and moody with a lesser degree. I am just going to need to work extra not easy to keep her focused. F 6 5 months

4 ADD; Anxiety Taking 100 mg. Difficult urination; some ED (Cialis makes mtss is a nonissue); some ejaculation difficulty (frustrating); This is SO Far better to me than Effexor. I began slowly titrating off from 225mg of Effexor 10 months ago, and am nearly away from it (down to < 40 mg), and instead am taking Wellbutrin (started @ 150mg, and now am up to 300 mg) (which overlaps with Strattera, and helps me keep the positive effects from Strattera going while reducing Effexor, which includes a norepinephine effect like Strattera). I wish I could continue getting the initial boost I found with Strattera. Its good for me. I finally beleive that my problem all along has been ADD, which when I was under great stress manifested itself with the sypmtoms of depression M 52 6 months

4 ADHD/Anxiety Constipation After many years on ritalin then concerta, I obtained sick and tired of requiring you to go on a second medication to handle the anxiety I did when on stimulants. My doctor eased me slowly onto strattera, that i'm grateful that she did. I had no unwanted side effects in any way, with the exception of noticeable decreases inside my anxiety and depression while i was weaned from the concerta. Now, 6 years later, I'm still a massive fan. I do learn that strattera makes me constipated, but I have discovered if I wait to look at it until after I've stood a bowel movement I'm fine. 1 ADD-inattentive, anxiety More uncomfortable side effects than I've ever experienced from the other anti-depresants or add meds (only other add drug I have been previously on is aderall though), Also i wil realize that I am taking adderall also today and the plan were to eventually go off adderall. Unwanted effects I acquired incude:chills on my small body and infrequently what is like chills in my neck and head, hot flashes, confusion, lack of motor skills (clumsy, clashing with things, dropping things), forgetfulness where I can not think about even simple things, zombie-like feeling, extremely bad side effects, extreme fatigue, weird sensation during my head (tingles), some constipation in this little first day's taking it, headache, worst heartburn/indigestion I've ever had. Made my focus problem from bad to worse! I used to be told to give the medication weekly to get familiar with my figure etc but many of these symptoms together forced me to be miserable and in addition scares me because commonsense informs me this is not good, instead of worth the cost regardless of whether it is going to start helping me concentrate the near future. I realize everyone responds differently and that i have been told my the physician I'm quite understanding of medication, but not have I suffered a whole lot at a medication. F 26 4 days

1 Adult ADHD Increased libido. Suicidal thoughts and extreme depression. Severe anxiety. Shivers. Decreased blood pressure. Sweating. Disturbing nightmares/dreams. Pimples. This drug is evil, even so had a bad feeling about this before i started and knew it wouldnt work. My insane psychiatrist forced me to adopt it as he wouldnt provide me with Dexamphetamines any further, as I'd already been taking for a few months, after he got me totally hooked on them. I'm like crap on Strattera - Own life is not worth living by doing this. The other reviews say everthing. Steer clear of the stuff. There must be an easier way. Seek against each other for God's sake, if you're able to. Pharmaceutical companies are pure evil. All medicines are poison. Even Dexys. The doctors don't know what to do with us ADHD people. Instead of speaking with us and helping, they slam us with dreadful and horrendous drugs that they can know will kill us. We're also highly intelligent people. 2 ADHD & TS In a reaction to S's question (your email address contact information turn up useful info): My son is without a doubt more stable now than he was when he was taking Strattera. We've not made every other changes, and so i truly believe that Strattera was the culprit to his extreme unreasonableness, irritability, anger, etc. My son is fairly irritable and tricky to take care of, but on Strattera there seemed to be an additional layer with this that has been not "him. " It was like he no control over some of his reactions. He has also been entirely unacquainted with how he found. Whenever we discussed this with his psychiatrist, she did declare that this can be a known but rare response to Strattera. She urged us to present the med a lot more time, so we did. Speculate there was clearly really no great results with regard to increased focus as well as the amped up unreasonableness and anger continued, we discontinued Strattera. So my son is again taking no medication. He could be 16 yr old and is particularly displaying plenty of teenage behavior - pushes limits, argues, is moody and irritable, etc. But off Strattera the results ALWAYS that way - the guy can even be insightful, caring, responsible, etc. He retains his ADHD problems with impulsivity, forgetfulness, disorganization. . . I believe that Strattera enhanced my son's irritability and anger and in some cases made him "unreachable" when he previously gotten himself worked up enough. 4 ADD Nausea to start with, this improved after in regards to a month. Also had burning in urination, occasional a feeling of passing hot lava when I ejaculated, itchy scalp, uneasyness, impotence. This drug really worked to me. I was additional capable of focus at your workplace, far more effective in relationships, more patient, more capable to give full attention to difficult tasks, much less of your procrastinator, we saw my depression abate when i felt more lucrative and effectual in all facets of gaming. The very first time I could read complex or technical text without spacing out or getting sleepy. I also finally lost a few pounds I'd been hoping to get off me. It's been truly wonderful. However, around the time I started realizing the full benefit (about 10 weeks into it) the medial side effects became bothersome. I experimented with some time of day I went ahead, knowning that helped some, when Cleaning it once a taking it merely before going to sleep, the tools down below stopped working. I spoken with my doctor about adjusting the dosage, and she talked me into trying another drug. If it doesn't work, I'll get one of these lower dosage of Strattera. M 40 4 months

2 ADD & Anxiety Angry, agitated, sweating, was required to take during the night to help keep from being sick. My daughter started taking at 12 for anxiety and ADD. It did help some with anxiety. We thought the anger issues were just the teen years starting. We didn't realize until we took her away from the medicine after 14 months to locate a more effective ADD medicine that any of us felt like we have got our child back. She was right away like another child and for getting along with and pleasant to get along with. Her counselor exited her session and said she was pleasantly surprised about the gap. 2 ADD from Bipolar Mania I took this medicine December 2009. Together with bipolar type II, I've Add and adhd (ADD) which I think is usually a product of the manic state or medication induced (probably abilify). Since stimulants sometimes induce mania the Nurse Practitioner prescribed Strattera (Atomoxetine). Before I could ramp up to the recommended therapeutic strength (100 mg), one side effects got in terms. I did a starter pack together increased in dosage to 80 mg in one month. At 80 mg the medication forced me to be manic; that mania crossed over into mixed state within hours. I felt angrier plus much more irritated into it, then extremely depressed. Very negative effects. After all this 400 mg of Lamictal, 5 mg of Abilify and 300 mg of Seroquel XR tether me on track(whatever which is) and also this drug definitely doesn't match that mix. 4 Focus, control binge disorder Only experiences gloomy effects when I first began taking this drug---headaches, sleep problems, restlessness, dry mouth. Now it has been some time (years), i usually do not experience some of these negative effects. This medication has eliminated my binging urges & helps me focus on tasks. Originally, my psych prescribed 25 mg. My highest dose was 80 mg after which the medication eliminate for me. My dose was decreased to 40mg & I became also prescribed Adderall. Together of my other medications (Wellbutren & Adderall), I would not binge. However, plainly miss 1 day, it can be almost a guaranteed binge. At the 80 mg dosage, I was form of snappy, not mean or enraged but overly assertive and extremely passive aggressive. F 28 4 years

2 ADD (misdiagnosed) Was positioned on this drug years back because i was in secondary school to treat ADD (that we was misdiagnosed with). Everytime I took it, I'd personally watch a strange sensation, just like heaviness and weak drowsiness. The worst part (and why treatment was ended) was sudden vomiting. Shortly after the medication kicked in, I would get intense nausea and explosively vomit. Every time. Wasn't great. I used to be within this drug when I was 14, however i i just want to set up my experience with it from back then. M 22 7 days

4 add Sick stomach initial two days. My sister said I'd been calmer then usual, we painted a location i kept with it just as much as I possibly could. Used to do feel I'd to get to sleep but it really was just heavy eyes and no real nap. Heavy eyes seemed weird but improved these previous couple of days. I will be hopeful. I have been previously on stimulants but desire a more easy life. The exam are usually in doing math. I must finish school because I really like it. Very hopeful. F 54 6 days
